Fitoberfest 2026

This October we're running Fitoberfest, a month of fitness, health and wellbeing across Maud and Mintlaw. More than 35 sessions and events, and thirteen of them are completely free.

What is it?

Fitoberfest is a month of activities supported and organised by Old Mart Gym and Maud Village Trust. It brings together gym classes, free family events and community get togethers into one October programme.

Here's what's on:

  • Glow in the dark family dodgeball

  • Walking netball

  • Bootcamp

  • Gentle gym sessions

  • Begin to Spin

  • Meta Spin

  • Holiday camp

  • Pumpkin evening

Who is it for?

Everyone.

There are sessions for people who train every week and sessions for people who haven't been active in a while. There are events for families to come to together, a holiday camp for children during the October break, and classes designed for complete beginners.

You don't need to be a gym member to come to the free events.

When is it?

Throughout October 2026, with sessions running Monday to Thursday every week, plus the pumpkin evening on Friday 30th October.

Events take place at Old Mart Gym, Maud Village Hall, MACBI in Mintlaw, and Maud community garden.

Are the events free or paid?

Both. Thirteen of the sessions are free to attend, including the family dodgeball, the walking netball and the pumpkin evening.‍ ‍

The gym classes are booked through ClubRight, and the holiday camp costs £6 per day or £15 for all three days.

How do I book?‍ ‍

All the dates, times, venues and booking details are on our Fitoberfest page.

The free events are limited on numbers, so book early to avoid missing out.
